A compact, rounded deciduous shrub known for its colorful foliage and late spring to early summer blooms. New leaves emerge bright red or bronze, mature to yellow-green, and turn a fiery scarlet or orange-red in the fall. It produces clusters of hot pink or crimson-red flowers on the branch tips.
