A mounding, upright plant with blue-green, succulent foliage, sturdy stems, and massive flower heads that provide late summer and fall interest. Its soft pink buds open to intense pink-red blooms, which later dry into bright red seedpods. The plant is drought-tolerant and prefers full sun.  Grows to a height of approximately 14–18 inches (36–46 cm) and a width of 16–18 inches (41–46 cm).
