The plant forms dense, moss-like mats of tiny, narrow, needle-like leaves that remain a rich, dark green color year-round, providing excellent groundcover even when not in bloom. It typically grows to a height of only 4 to 6 inches, with a vigorous spread of 12 to 24 inches.
