The plant produces masses of beautiful, unique, shaggy-headed flowers in a rich magenta-purple color, often with hot pink overtones and dark red centers. The blooms appear in dense, globular clusters at the ends of the stems from late spring through late summer and are excellent for cutting. This is a dwarf cultivar, growing in a compact, mounded form to a height of approximately 10 to 12 inches, with a spread of about 10 inches. This smaller size makes it suitable for container gardening and front-of-border plantings.
