A heirloom variety with bright red stalks and veins that contrast sharply with its dark green, crinkled leaves. It is both an ornamental and edible plant, with leaves and stalks that can be cooked like spinach and celery, respectively. It grows in a rosette shape and is known for being heat-tolerant and productive, with a delicious, earthy flavor that is not bitter. Full maturity in about 60 days.
